To meet the growing international demand for Chinesetranslators，serve international Chinese education and other related fields, the Center For Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC) hasestablished the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship-Master Program in Translation for International Studentsforhigh-level bilingual talents who are proficient in Chinese and translation skills. Confucius Institutes, independentConfucius Classrooms,selectedHSK test centers, foreign educational institutions,Chinese language teacher training programs/Chinese departments at foreign universities, professional associations for Chinese language teaching, Chinese embassies (consulates) abroadmay recommend outstanding graduates, translators and other relevant personnel to study for a Master's degree in translation in China.

Tianjin Foreign Studies University (TFSU) is a multilingual university with seven discipline categories—Literature, Economics, Management, Law, Education, Art and Engineering. The university now has two campuses. The Machang Road campus is located in the Scenic Five Avenues District, and is included in the Ten Sites of Tianjin. Binhai Campus is located in the picturesque university garden of Dagang District, Tianjin Binhai New Area. Tianjin Foreign Studies University, as one of the Host Institutions of International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship-Master Program in Translation for International Students,will continue recruiting foreign students to apply for the program andpursue a master's degree of Translation atTFSUin 2026.

I.Eligibility

1. Be a non-Chinese citizen;

2. Be friendly to China, have no criminal record, abide by the laws and regulations of China and the rules and regulations of the Host Institution;

3. Be in good physical and mental health, be in good academic and behavioral standing;

4.Not exceeding 40 years old;

5.Graduates with a bachelor's degree or higher in Chinese, Translation, or related fields;

6.HSK Level 6 with a score of 180 or above;

7.Priority given to those with translation work experience.

IV.Application Procedures

1.Applicants should log in to Tianjin Foreign Studies University's International Student Service Platform (https://tfsu.at0086.cn/StuApplication/Login.aspx) to apply online and submit application materials.

2.TFSUwill review the eligibility of applicants and conduct a professional assessment.

3.Applicants who passTFSU's assessment should apply online on the International Chinese Teacher Scholarship Registration Website (cis.chinese.cn),and stay updated on the email notifications sent byTFSU, theapplication progress,andtheadmission results.The finaladmission results are subject to the official notice issued by CLEC.The application time will be notifiedto the applicantsbyTFSUseparately.

V.ApplicationMaterials

1. Acolor scanned copy of the passport photo page (valid untilMarch 31, 2027, or later). Applicants who have immigrated to other countries or whose parent is a Chinese national should provide proof of time for naturalization, proof of renunciation of Chinese nationality and a visa record of recent four years for entry and exit to China;

2. A scanned copy of HSK Level 6score report (valid for two years);

3.Bachelor's degree certificate (certificate of enrollment or expected graduation);

4. Complete undergraduate transcript;

5. Study or research plan written in Chinese or English (see Attachment 1);

6. Two recommendation lettersin Chinese or Englishfromprofessors,associate professors,or experts with equivalent professional titles in relevant fields. The signature,professional title,and contact informationmust be included;

7.Recommendation letter from the recommending institution.Applicants must confirm in advance with the recommending institution whether it is qualified to recommend through the International Chinese Language Teacher Scholarship System;

8.Photocopy of the Foreigner Physical Examination Form (the original document, printed by Chinese quarantine authorities, shall be filled in in English and kept by the applicant). The medical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital, or a sealed photograph of the applicant are invalid. Medical examination results are valid for only six months (see Attachment2);

9. A valid Certificate of Non-Criminal Record issued by the local public security, usually issued within six months prior to the submission date of the application.

Notes:

1.All application materials must be in Chinese or English. Non-Chinese or non-English certificates (proofs) must be accompanied by a notarized translation in Chinese or English.

2.All documents uploaded through the system must be clear, authentic, and valid. Applicants are recommended to use professional device to scan relevant documents. Any consequences caused by unclear or unidentifiable documents uploaded will be borne by applicants.

VI.Application Deadline

Applicants must complete the application on Tianjin Foreign Studies University's International Student Service Platform byMarch 1, 2026.If there is any adjustment to the application schedule, the latest noticeshall prevail. The application time on the officialsystemof CLECwill be notified totheapplicants byTFSUseparately.

VII.Others

1.If the applicantshavereceived the International Chinese Language Teacher Scholarship during thecurrentmaster's studies, they are not eligible to reapply for this program.

2.Applicants shall be familiar with the admission criteria and deadlines, and submit necessary documents accordingly.Incomplete or unqualified applications will not be processed.Applicants will be disqualified in terms of fraudulent application materials or non-personal submission.

3.Degree students are subject to the annual assessment according to the Annual Assessment Procedures of the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship.

4.Students who fail to pass the pre-enrollment medical examination, submit unqualified Certificate of Non-criminal Record, withdraw from school before completing the program, fail to register atTFSUor suspend studieswithout prior permission, will be disqualified for the scholarship.

5.Scholarship recipients are not allowed to live off-campus.
