I.MIB Program Introduction
The MIB (Master of International Business) program at the School of International Business of Tianjin Foreign Studies University is designed to cultivate high-level international business talents with a global perspective, cross-cultural understanding, innovative spirit, and strategic thinking. Leveraging the university's strengths in foreign language education and internationalized operations, the program builds an integrated "Foreign Language + Business" training model. This enables students to systematically acquire knowledge in management, economics, finance, and international business. Graduates will be equipped to pursue careers in international operations, trade negotiations, market expansion, investment analysis, and more within the complex and dynamic global business environment.
1.Program Highlights
The program is taught entirely in English with English-language textbooks, covering core modules such as International Marketing, Multinational Enterprise Management, International Trade Practice and Financial Analysis, while integrating distinctive content on Chinese business culture to help international students build a cross-cultural commercial knowledge system. Over 80% of the faculty hold doctoral degrees and 60% have studied or worked overseas, guaranteeing teaching quality that meets global standards. Students may also apply for a range of scholarships—including the Chinese Government Scholarship and the Tianjin Municipal Government Scholarship, which partially or fully cover tuition, accommodation, insurance and living costs. The School has established partnerships with many internationally renowned companies, so graduates are highly competitive and widely employed by multinational corporations, financial institutions and government agencies, achieving high-quality career outcomes.
2.Duration & Teaching Mode
Duration: 2 years
Intake: September each year on Machang Road campus
Teaching Mode: Courses are taught entirely in English. The program emphasizes classroom interaction, group discussions, case studies, and project-based learning.
3.Training Objectives
The program aims to equip students with: Foundational theories, specialized knowledge, and research methodologies in international business. Proficiency in English and other business tool languages, along with strong international business communication, negotiation, and writing skills. Familiarity with international rules and the global market environment, enabling them to analyze international economic trends and formulate business strategies. Cross-cultural collaboration abilities, preparing them for management and decision-making roles in multinational corporations, government agencies, international organizations, etc.
4.Curriculum Structure
The curriculum is divided into three main modules:
Business Core Courses: International Business, International Marketing, Investment & Multinational Enterprise Management, Trade Policy & Practice, International Finance Theory & Practice.
Management & Economics Foundation Courses: Business & Economic Statistics, International Logistics Management, Global Supply Chain Management, Multinational Corporations & International Operations, International Accounting, Cross-cultural Communication, Cross-border E-commerce.
Language & Cross-cultural Courses: Introduction to Contemporary China, Chinese Culture, Business Chinese.
II.Eligibility
1. Applicants must be under 40 years old, hold a non-Chinese nationality, and meet the requirements of the Ministry of Education Document No. 12 [2020].
2. Applicants shall be of good moral character, physically and mentally healthy, and willing to comply with Chinese laws and the regulations of TFSU.
3. Applicants should hold a bachelor's degree or an equivalent degree.
4. For English-taught majors, applicants must have an IELTS score of 6.0 or above, a TOEFL score of 80 or above, or an equivalent level of English proficiency.

IV.Application Procedures
1.The applicants log in to the "Tianjin Foreign Studies University International Student Service Platform" (http://tfsu.at0086.cn/StuApplication/Login.aspx) to complete the online application.
2.TFSU will review the application materials.
3.After the materials are reviewed and approved, TFSU will conduct written tests and interviews for the applicants.
4.Upon passing the interview, the applicants shall pay the fees.
5.After the payment is completed, TFSU will issue the admission notice and visa application form for the applicants.
6.The applicants should then apply for a Chinese visa at the Chinese embassy in their home country with the admission notice and visa application form.
Ⅴ.Application Materials
1. Photocopy of passport (Ordinary passport expires after March 31, 2027). Applicants who have immigrated to other countries or whose parent is a Chinese national should provide proof of time for naturalization, proof of renunciation of Chinese nationality and a visa record of recent four years for entry and exit to China .
2. The highest academic certificate. If the applicant is a current graduate student, a pre-graduation certificate issued by the school is required.
3. Complete transcripts for the highest degree. Applicants who will not graduate before the application deadline must provide their current academic transcript. In this case, the completed academic transcripts must be submitted upon enrollment.
4. A study or research plan written in Chinese or in English. Please use the TFSU template provided in Attachment 1.
5. Two letters of recommendation in Chinese or English from professors or associate professors. Recommender's signature and contact information must be included.
6. For English-taught majors, an IELTS score of 6.0 or above, a TOEFL score of 80 or above, or an equivalent English proficiency certificate is required.
7. Photocopy of the Foreigner Physical Examination Form (the original document, printed by Chinese quarantine authorities, shall be filled in in English and kept by the applicant). The medical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital, or a sealed photograph of the applicant are invalid. Medical examination results are valid for only six months (see Attachment 2).
8. A valid Certificate of Non-Criminal Record issued by the local public security, usually issued within six months prior to the submission date of the application.
9. A bank statement showing a deposit of more than 40,000 RMB from the applicant or their financial guarantor.
Notes:
All application materials must be in Chinese or English. Non-Chinese or non-English certificates (proofs) must be accompanied by a notarized translation in Chinese or English.
All documents uploaded through the system must be clear, authentic, and valid. Applicants are recommended to use professional device to scan relevant documents. Any consequences caused by unclear or unidentifiable documents uploaded will be borne by applicants.

Ⅶ.Registration
New students must register on time according to the date specified in the admission notice. Those who fail to register on time without a valid reason will be considered to have withdrawn automatically.
When registering, please bring the admission notice, the Application Form for Visa of Foreign Students in China and all the original application materials. Students who fail the admission qualification review will be disqualified from admission.

Registration: 500 RMB
Tuition: 19,400 RMB/year (Tuition does not include textbook fees)
Insurance: 800 RMB/year
Accommodation: 50 RMB/day for a double room . Students must stay in on-campus housing during their studies.
Room Facilities: independent bathroom, central air conditioning, Internet, telephone, desk, chair, wardrobe, 24-hour hot water shower
Public Facilities: public kitchen, laundry room, lounge on the first floor (free Wi-Fi)
Note: All the above fees are non-refundable once paid.
